Sourcing Manager – Singapore

Summary of General Responsibilities

The Sourcing Manager will use its in-depth Machining & Fabrication; Commodities, specialties parts & processes and Material local sourcing expertise to promote an optimize local sourcing process aiming to reduce costs and increase value with suppliers. This will be achieved by Strategic sourcing coordination with Global Strategic Sourcing Category Managers, local contract management; regional Supplier Management and Spot quoting; building relationships with suppliers; negotiating cost and developing local agreements that ultimately help a company grow and become more profitable.

Responsibilities

 To facilitate the sourcing process, the Sourcing Manager forms relationships with important suppliers in the AP industry. It’s important to maintain relationships with AP suppliers to ensure continual improvement in sourcing.

  • Strategic sourcing coordination with Global Strategic Sourcing Category
    Managers based in the united states
  • Local contract management, Regional Supplier Management, Spot quoting;
  • Build relationships with AP suppliers, Cost negotiation
  • Local Strategic sourcing Plan and Negotiate Deals

 Sourcing Manager will support the supply chain management to elaborate a local strategic sourcing plans as well as will support the deals and contracts negotiation with AP suppliers which will include pricing, quantity, and delivery schedules. Should anything change in the sourcing process, they’re responsible to inform supply chain management and support new contracts negotiations as well.

Requirement

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional
  • Tubular Industry knowledge
  • 10 + years of exposure in O&G manufacturing industry, working in
    supply chain with emphasis in sourcing machining & Fabrication; specialty
    parts and processes; material (forge); commodities.
  • The drive, energy and initiative to achieve continuous improvement
  • Ability to influence peers and leaders
  • Strong negotiation skills for interacting with Sourcing and Suppliers
  • Team player, still able to act independent
  • Advanced familiarity with O&G equipment – parts machining and
    Fabrication processes; specialty parts and processes; material (forge);
    commodities.
  • Showing proficiency in basic   computer applications.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
  • Having sourcing experience
  • Demonstrating deep understanding of Machining and Fabrication Industry
  • Experience with ERP is required.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
    (builds relationships) required.
  • Multi-level drawings reading and technical competence.
  • Strong negotiation skills
