The Production Manager is responsible for managing the machining department. This is a leadership position with an integral element of hands on approach to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction standards are achieved.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with other departments as a team on a day-to-day basis on all matters
Overall in-charge of machining department and manage supervisors, programming team and machinists to meet production schedules
Responsible for achieving high productivity within planned costs and ensuring compliance of customer’s requirements with respect to quality and OTD
Support Sales team by providing most competitive manufacturing hours for quotations to customers.
Manage production floor housekeeping, preventive maintenance of equipment, safety and health requirements
Responsible for coaching and developing competencies of supervisors, machinists and technicians
Responsible for ensuring machines, tools and manpower resources are at optimum levels and is forward-thinking to meet planned production needs
Provide strong leadership to the production team so as to achieve annual KPIs, business objectives and goals
Propose business case to the management to improve productivity and operational efficiency on the production floor
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of machining process in an Oil and Gas industry is an advantage.
Bachelor or Diploma in Engineering or many years of relevant experience in machining in oil & gas, aerospace or precision engineering industry
Strong leader with good interpersonal skills and is highly energetic
