TECHNICAL SALES MANAGER

Role
Develop market intelligence to set the growth strategy a. Gather customer information to understand its operation, values and needs. b. Monitor competitor activity i.e. strategy, price movement, initiatives, product characteristic and technology c. Identify growth opportunity d. Establish a contact with customer’s customer to understand market dynamic and trends and also to promote the coatings technology

Perform high standard of technical service a. Follow up MOB projects with Packaging Technical team in Singapore b. Product introduction, set-up product trial plan to optimize the trial success rate c. Perform regular customer line audit and report, d. Handle customer complain and resolve in timely manner e. Monitor customer production activity to ensure the products are appropriately used by customer

Sales a. Represent the company to pursue customer intimacy b. Effectively execute the sales strategy to achieve yearly sales budget, good coordination with the sales agent c. Secure leading position by continuously Identify growth opportunity to optimize market penetration d. Provide demand forecast e. Monitor AR and ensure customer payment be collected on-time

Requirements:

  1. Sales skills set: (weight 40%)  Probing customer needs to develop business opportunity  Understand customer: people, policy, and environment to develop a right approach  Promoting our product portfolio, and developing market intelligence
  2. Technical Skills set: (weight 60%)  Good in chemistry, strong technical sense and competency  Understand the “coating philosophy” and its application (at least can be trained)  Good trouble shooting skills, could probing the root cause and addressing the “specific issue” for solution  Fast learner and self-motivated person

: Special Note Seeking more on Technical expertise, yet strong/adequate commercial skills. The candidate should be able to cover Philippines market to ensure customer satisfaction and grow the business
